About Danielle Dufy Literary

Danielle Dufy Literary was founded in October 2018 by Deborah Jacobs to celebrate and promote short literature and to get more of it into the hands (and heads and hearts) of as many people as possible. To that end, she published thirteen issues of Stone Gathering: A Reader between 2019 and 2022; and, when printing the little books became prohibitive, Deborah devised Stone Gathering, Too, a more practical and sustainable iteration that made it possible to continue her work. Danielle Dufy Literary is best known as a very small publisher; but advocacy for short literature remains a top priority. To that end, Deborah is available for speaking to groups of readers on the pleasure and the necessity of short literature and for consulting with booksellers for whom short literature can sometimes be a hard sell. She also works with writers of short literature on issues of audience, to help them secure wider readership for their work.
